Semple Fraser invest heavily in knowledge infrastructure with appointment of senior corporate consultant
The appointment of Robert Hynd as Corporate Consultant marks the continued expansion of leading multinational law firm, Semple Fraser. The ambitious firm has grown significantly in size and scale over the past year and is now investing heavily in its knowledge infrastructure in order to service the needs of its increasingly sophisticated UK client base.
Robert has almost 30 years of experience in the legal industry and has a range of skills in corporate law, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, financial services compliance and corporate governance.
He is a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Company Law Committee and was a founder member of its Scottish Parliament Group. He also sat on the Lord President’s Consultative Committee on the Scottish Commercial Court for 10 years from its inception in 1994. Robert took part in the UK Company Law Review which has now resulted in the Companies Act 2006 which is just coming into force and he regularly speaks on issues affecting directors and other legal matters relevant to businesses.
Semple Fraser’s corporate team now has a significant market presence in both Edinburgh and Glasgow comprising a 15 strong team. Within the corporate team there are specialists in banking/finance, M&A, joint ventures, corporate recovery, intellectual property, capital projects and financing, franchising and competition law.
