The DTI Technology Programme - funding available for R&D projects
The DTI has recently announced details of its competition to obtain grant funding for Collaborative Research and Development Projects.
In this particular round, grant funding of over £80 million is being made available to cover projects in 8 different fields. The funding which is available could be up to 75% of the costs of the research and development.
The fields for which funding is available are for research and development in the following areas:

Design, Simulation and Modelling

Pervasive Computing including Networks and Sensors

Micro and Nanotechnology

Imaging Technologies
-
Bio-based Industrial Products and Processes
-
Energy Technologies
-
Waste Management and Minimisation
-
Smart Materials and Related Structures
-
Opto Electronics and Disruptive Electronic Technnologies
Given the very wide nature of these various areas, it may be that you have, or are considering, research projects which would fall within them.
