Semple Fraser promotes Directors
Semple Fraser today announces the promotion of 8 new Directors in their Commercial Property Group as they continue to build upon their leading position in the UK marketplace as commercial property industry specialists.
Directors Caryn Auld, Stephen Dick, Bryan Finlayson, David Horsburgh, Gillian Irons, John Mitchell, Roland Smyth and Anju Suneja have all contributed strongly to the success of the firm, both internally and externally. Their technical skills and competencies, as well as strong business acumen, have allowed Semple Fraser to continue to rise in a challenging environment.
The past 12 months for Semple Fraser’s commercial property group has been a year of intensive deals activity and with that came recognition by winning ‘Commercial Property Firm of the Year’ at last year’s Law Awards of Scotland.
Recent flagship transactions include acting on the purchase of the Forge Centre in Glasgow, the £330m purchase of a site at Eurocentral in Lanarkshire, as well as continuing to act for Tesco in their ongoing expansion programme.
The firm has seen exponential growth in take up of their UK wide offer over the past year, acting in the acquisition and sale of over £1.5bn of shopping centre and retail assets; £1bn of that figure was in relation to assets based in England.
Managing Partner, Alister Fraser, comments:
“These promotions reflect the high levels of hard work and business success evidenced by these talented lawyers. The calibre of clients and high profile deals we are doing throughout the UK help us retain top quality lawyers and in turn I am delighted to recognise their achievements."
