Park Lane Group and Renfrewshire Council redevelop Arnotts store

Park Lane Group and Renfrewshire Council have joined forces in a joint venture vehicle which purchased the derelict former Arnotts store in Paisley and plans to transform the site to continue the regeneration of Paisley town centre.

The 4-acre site is to be developed into a mixed use retail, office and residential development with car parking.

The Gauze Street store originally opened in 1927 and adopted the Arnotts name in 1973.  It was designed by one of Paisley’s most respected architects – JS Steel Maitland.

Sean Robinson, joint managing director of Park Lane Group, said:

“Our firm has a strong track record in commercial development in Renfrewshire and throughout Scotland.  We fully recognise the historic importance and, more importantly, the significant commercial potential of the Arnotts site”.

Semple Fraser provided corporate, structure and funding advice on the project.
