Eden Springs take over PowWow Water
Semple Fraser have advised Eden Springs UK Limited on the purchase of the bottled water cooler assets of the Powwow Water Company from Wild About Water UK Limited.
Powwow went into administration in March 2010 and its assets were initially purchased by Irish company Wild About Water. However Eden subsequently negotiated a “back to back” deal to buy the bottled water cooler assets from Wild About Water.
Following the deal with Wild About Water, Eden joined forces with the British Water Cooler Association (BWCA) to offer ex-Powwow customers a seamless and professional transition to a new supplier through an assignment process. The assignment process enables BWCA members who have contracted ex-Powwow customers to obtain an assignment of the Powwow contract which Eden acquired from Wild About Water.
Eden Springs UK Ltd is an established company and both UK and European market leader with over 100,000 bottled and POU water coolers in the UK alone. It is part of the Eden Springs Group of companies which has successful bottled water cooler and POU cooler businesses in 16 countries in Western and Central Europe.
Semple Fraser advised Eden Springs on corporate, competition and employment aspects of these transactions.
