Award winning luxury lingerie brand goes into administration
Semple Fraser have been appointed to act as solicitors to Tom MacLennan and Kenny Craig of RSM Tenon as joint administrators of Boudiche Limited.
Boudiche is a high profile luxury lingerie retailer, with a store on Edinburgh’s Frederick Street and one in Glasgow’s Merchant City.
Launched in 2005, the company won a series of awards including Best Lingerie Retailer and Best Concept Store, along with its founders both winning Scots Businesswomen of the Year.
Boudiche had managed to grow turnover by 9% last year despite the recession, and had moved into online sales which rose by 75% in the last year with demand from over 50 countries. However administrators were called in on 13 June 2010.
RSM Tenon are hopeful of being able to sell the brand and joint administrator Tom MacLennan said:
“Boudiche is a very high profile brand and was a rising star in the quality lingerie market, with the potential for further development, in particular the online business.”
