Green energy revenue from existing property assets
The past year has seen extensive political discussion on climate change and energy efficiency. For landowners and developers, this minefield of renewables policy brings with it a wealth of opportunity and can help generate revenue from existing property assets.
The regulatory framework is complex, with issues such as the Renewable Heat Incentive, small scale Feed-in-Tariffs, the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive giving businesses food for thought.
Strategic choices need to be made and challenges need to be addressed to comply with legislation and meet CSR considerations.
More importantly, landowners can still seek to make the most of the EU and UK renewables drive and grasp ready opportunities to create new revenue streams and deliver additional portfolio value.
We are hosting an industry seminar which will provide an update on the law, and highlight the opportunities that the renewables industry offers property owners. We will also apply specific focus to turning these opportunities into reality, understanding the processes that apply and the pitfalls to be avoided, in order to deliver investment returns and successful renewables projects. We are delighted to announce our guest speaker, David Kipling of Clean Earth Capital, who will focus on financial incentives and comparative returns from renewables.
