Luichart Technology strike JV with Pennsylvania firm
Semple Fraser have advised client Luichart Technology Limited on a number of projects relating to developments in use of smart materials for leading F1 teams. Recent Luichart projects have also involved the aviation industry and, in particular, a new US/UK joint venture to exploit new energy storage technology.
Luichart Technology is a Glasgow-based engineering think-tank and producer of hi-tech prototypes. It has recently struck a joint venture agreement with a contract manufacturer in Pennsylvania that is expected to generate large volumes of sales. AmEcosse, the new joint venture between Luichart and Ashland Technologies of Pennsylvania, USA will initially develop and manufacture a revolutionary new battery to store energy from wind farms.
In a separate development, Luichart has entered into an arrangement with William Bain Fencing Limited (another client of Semple Fraser) to apply its expertise in materials technology to the Lochrin-Bain fencing system, with a view to the Cumbernauld business developing a unique, hi-tech security system both for the UK and the lucrative US security market.
