New Year heralds new faces in Semple Fraser's commercial property team
Patrick Slater joins Semple Fraser as Associate from Archibald Campbell & Harley. Patrick is dual qualified in English and Scots law, and has considerable experience in all aspects of commercial property with particular expertise in property investment and finance work.
He joins Angus MacRae’s Edinburgh-based team which concentrates on a wide range of property development and investment transactions in both Scotland and England.
Commenting on his new appointment, Patrick said,
“Semple Fraser is an ambitious and growing legal business. I am very excited about joining the firm and look forward to being part of the team.”
Keith Simpson also joins the firm as an Assistant in the Edinburgh commercial property team. Keith is 3 years post qualified and joins the firm from DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary.

Recent deals for the Edinburgh team include the sale of the Eastgate shopping centre in Inverness for Phoenix Life and Pensions Limited; the letting of the Optima Building in Glasgow for Crown Dilmun plc with a headline rental in excess of £1.5m per annum – one of Scotland’s most significant office lettings last year; and the purchase in three days (from initial instruction to completion) of a £20m retail park investment in central Scotland for Threadneedle Property Investments Limited.
