Semple Fraser opens in Manchester
Semple Fraser today announces plans to open an office in Manchester.
The announcement comes as part of its continued drive to boost the firm’s position serving the full UK market and to take advantage of major UK deal opportunities. Semple Fraser undertook the strategic decision to invest in providing an English law offering 7 years ago and over a third of the firm’s lawyers are now qualified to practice throughout the UK.
Semple Fraser is already involved in an impressive range of high value transactions throughout the UK and hopes to build on that through this move.
Ewan Thomson, a Commercial Property partner currently based in the firm’s Edinburgh office, will relocate to Manchester to head up the new team assisted in the City by senior partner Simon Etchells currently based in Glasgow. Ewan will be further supported by partners June Gilles, Ken Carruthers, Vincent Brown, Bill Fowler, Alex Innes and Stuart Macfarlane.
The new office, in the centre of Manchester, will open next month.
