Semple Fraser announces 5 trainee appointments
Semple Fraser has announced the appointment of five trainees across their corporate and commercial property departments.
Lynne-Anne Calder , Elaine Fraser and Gemma Wilson join the firm’s award winning commercial property department. Consistently ranked top by the legal directories, the commercial property group acts for clients such as the Peel Group, Threadneedle Property Investments, Business Homes-CALA, the UNITE Group and Tesco Stores Ltd.
Meena Gautam and Jo-Anne Nisbet join the firm’s impressive corporate team where there are specialists in banking/finance, M&A, joint ventures, corporate recovery, intellectual property, capital projects and financing, franchising and competition law.
Semple Fraser offers a unique trainee scheme. Instead of circulating trainees around the various parts of the business, the firm adopts a fixed-seat approach, which gives trainees the opportunity to focus right away on a specific area of the law – getting experience that they would otherwise have to wait for until they qualified. This approach provides them with a depth of knowledge that ensures that when they qualify they are head and shoulders above their peers.
Managing Partner, Alister Fraser comments:
“In these uncertain times, we are focusing on the opportunities that are there. It is a long term game to which we are entirely committed, and our approach to our trainee scheme will ensure that as our markets turn we are in a strong position and able to offer clients the depth and strength of expert service that they have come to expect.”
