Edinburgh Businesswomen's Club appoints youngest ever vice president
Edinburgh's Businesswomen's Club (ESBC) has appointed its youngest ever Vice President,
Caroline Buchan to work alongside the new President Karen Macartney. Caroline, aged 26 works as a solicitor in Semple Fraser’s corporate department and joined the club’s committee just over a year ago as secretary.
Delighted to be voted in as Vice President, Caroline is really keen to undertake a strong drive to attract more young women across the business market in Edinburgh to become involved in the club, attending business events, training sessions, networking lunches and charity events.
Caroline Buchan, Vice President of ESBC said:
"I was really pleased, and shocked, to be voted by the club into the role of Vice President at my age! I am very honoured though and have lots of ideas about how Karen and I can work with the rest of the Committee to grow the scope and size of the ESBC to benefit businesswomen across Edinburgh. We are also keen to join up with other business groups across Scotland to share knowledge and experience.”
Founded in 1992, the ESBC boasts over 170 members and provides a forum for managerial, entrepreneurial and professional women in Scotland who have a commitment to their careers, their families and the community who want to encourage their own personal growth and that of other business women in Scotland and beyond.
