Semple Fraser have recently advised Markco Media Limited on the drafting of the terms and conditions for a ‘one-off’ interactive on-line competition they are running in the lead-in to Christmas.
Markco Media Limited operates the myvouchercodes.com website which provides details of retailers discount vouchers. Semple Fraser have advised not only on the T&C’s for the online competition, but also on the terms and conditions for operation of the website (including advising on data protection and privacy policy), and a number of other related contractual matters.
The competition, called the 30 Day Christmas Giveaway, is a daily competition, with the prize each day being valued at no less than £500. The final prize, awarded on 18 December is worth £15,000 and represents all previous prizes.
