DECC has issued phase 1 of its Comprehensive Review of the Feed-in Tariff Scheme which focuses on the tariffs for solar PV. The consultation period closes on 23 December 2011.
The proposed changes for solar PV are controversial and will have far reaching implications for both the solar PV industry and occupiers of industrial property who are considering solar PV as part of their sustainability/carbon reduction strategies.
Developers are concerned about the proposed timetable with the reference date of 12 December, and the scale of the cuts. Owner / occupiers and developers are concerned about the impact of the linkage between energy efficiency of the buildings on which the solar PV is installed and the level of tariffs, with much lower/penalty rates being applicable if certain energy efficiency standards are not met.
This free webinar will look at the key aspects of the proposed changes and is an opportunity for you to engage with other organisations affected by the solar PV FiTs consultation.
