Alison Gow is recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers directories as a leader in her field and described as a “relentless litigator who will go to the ends of the earth for her clients.”

She joined Semple Fraser shortly after its inception in 1990 to set up the Litigation group and has over 20 years' experience in handling commercial disputes, predominantly in the commercial court of the Court of Session, working with many of Scotland’s top senior and junior counsel. 

Alison is also qualified as a mediator and has recently been invited to sit on the Commercial Litigation Practice Committee which will be instrumental in setting standards and assessing applicants for the new Signet Accreditation.

She is praised for her negotiation skills and regularly advises institutional landlords and development clients on all aspects of property related disputes from dilapidations and rent review to recovery of possession and breach of contract.  Her clients include Tesco Stores Limited, Allied Dunbar and Zurich Assurance, BAE Systems, Eden Springs, Astra Zeneca, The UNITE Group and Royal & Sun Alliance.
