Scott Kerr has over 20 years’ experience advising on corporate structures and commercial contracts, including joint ventures between public and private entities. He can advise fully on limited companies, companies limited by guarantee and limited liability partnerships, dealing with establishing the corporate vehicle and ensuring that those involved in them are protected properly against risk.
Scott is also an accredited specialist in Intellectual Property and heads up the firm’s Digital Economy and Life Sciences Group. He advises on all aspects of intellectual property and has built up a large portfolio of client companies across a wide range of technologies in the technology field, advising them on all aspects of their business, including equity fundraising.
Described by clients as "commercial and enthusiastic", Scott advises such as Glenmorangie, The Scotch Malt Whisky Society, OSS Group and Simclar Group.
Scott regularly speaks on intellectual property issues (having been invited to speak at courses run by The Law Society of Scotland) and contributes to the e-access LLM in Intellectual Property Law run by the University of Edinburgh.
